27 weeks & 5 days

27weeks & 5days?

Well the last i updated my college blog was 4th June 2013, I thought id carry on the blog as this is something close to me heart.

Following from my last blog... I had 11 weeks till my due date 31st July 2013.. but little man had other decisions.

At 2.30am on the 6th August 2013, my front waters had broke, the contractions started asal andi had never experienced a pain so bad, i was took to hospital at 2.30am, than again at 5am then finally at 10am the maternity ward kept me in.

I was only 2cm dialated and on the gas and air already, with me being me, i had a pethadine pain relief at 2cm, but this didnt work, so then i had an epidural aswell and from that point onwards i felt no pain... as the picture of me smiling shows.

Time was ticking on and there was no sign of little man, i was becoming very ill, and cannot really remember alot, i was told that i had to have an emergency C-Section, for mine and the babys best intrest as little mans heart beat was Raising and mine was Decreasing.

I remember being in the theatre a big blue sheet Infront of me, and i felt the tugging of my stomach and then at 1.20am, 7th August 2013, my son was born :)

22 hours and 50 minutes in labour,  worth every minute, Mine and braydens first photo. ♥

11 weeks left.

Whats Happening to your baby?

Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (about the size of a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. To meet his increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because his bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of calcium, such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day.

How your life's changing:

Your baby's very active now. Your healthcare provider may ask you to spend some time each day counting kicks and will give you specific instructions on how to do this. Let your provider know if you ever notice that your baby is becoming less active. You may need anonstress test or biophysical profile to check on your baby's condition.
Some old friends — heartburn and constipation — may take center stage now. The pregnancy hormone progesterone relaxes smooth muscle tissue throughout your body, including your gastrointestinal tract. This relaxation, coupled with the crowding in your abdomen, slows digestion. Sluggish digestion can cause gas and heartburn — especially after a big meal — and contribute to constipation.
Your growing uterus may also be contributing to hemorrhoids. These swollen blood vessels in your rectal area are common during pregnancy. Fortunately, they usually clear up in the weeks after giving birth.

Mod Rock

              MODROC
(27 weeks + 3 days pregnant)

Saturday the 4th May me and my mum purchased  Mod Roc from a craft shop in Nuneaton after, i Tried to do a paper mache of my bump but it didnt work as well as we thought it would. The process of the applying the modroc was easy, As you dip it in water, strain in and then apply to the skin and within so many seconds it dries hard.
The process before applying the modroc, was simple as well, to protect the bump and your skin, you apply a layer on Vasaline/Petroleam jelly and cover with clingfilm, then apply the mod roc on top.
Modrocing was really fun and the out come out the cast was really nice.

Next Modroc will be When i am 35weeks.

Soooo cuteee :)

So im Constantly on youtube watching videos like these, this is by far the cutest.

Thursday, 18 April 2013

So I dont know whether to be happy or annoyed that i went to hospital, As a pregnant women you experience so many problems, from the slightest stomach crmp to having something called Preeclampsia, Tuesday 16th 2013, I woke up with a sudden pain in my right hand side, I didnt think anything of it, just the baby was lying funny, when I woke up the following day (Wednesday 17th) I had noticed the pain had got alot worse and instead of feeling like a cramp sensation, it felt asif i was being stabbed, I went to y local GP who then reffered me the the Maternity ward.
I was then assesed and the Doctor believed i had tender swelling of my appendix, which was a major priority to the hospital because it could of put the baby in danger. I ended up at the hospital from 2.30pm, waiting in the 'Triage unit' for constant observation of my temperature, blood pressure and babys heartbeat, I also had my blood taken, I then got moved to the 'Labour suite' at 5.30, as their were no available beds in the surgical ward.
My experience in te labbour suite was probably one to remember, its like watching one born every minute but 4D, there were women screaming and shouting in agony which i fount stressful and emotional, especially when you heard the babies first cry.
I stayed overnight for observation and an outstanding scan to be taken out the next day, to find out whether it was my appendix.
When I woke up i was observed once, that was it, i was then told I had no scan and probably wouldnt have a scan tommorow either, which i was annoyed about, because being pregnant and having an unknown abdomina pain, is priority to make sure its nothing bad that could potentially harm the baby.
After futher consent and spending 29hours in hospital, I did a self discharge as the hospital admitted they cannot do anything further, which i felt Me or the baby wasnt priority.
It was a draining/emotional visit, Which is still undergoing examination as an outpatient.
I did manage to take some cheeky images on my ipod, Showing equipment, and myself looking drained.

But even if you get a slight pain in prgenancy, dont just think it could be babies movement, go and get it checked :)
