This is the first sight of my baby, When i went to the scan I got upset because I expected to see more than what looked like a blob of white, but the midwife assured me everything was okay and its what you expect to see at a scan this far.

The image above is my 13 week + 1 day Scan photo.
All I can say is i ave never been so emotional happy to see something so beautiful, Compared to the 8 week scan which was 5 weeks ago, You can see how far the baby has grew and what has been developed, from the scan you can make out head, nose, lips, chin, A handprint above the head, the chest and belly.
This scan was an important scan, the Midwife checks the back of the head to see how thick the skin is to see if the baby was at risk of having down syndrome. My nan came with me to this scan, She has never seen a baby on a monitor so she fount the experience heart warming.
